Tenants are the majority in New York City. Tens of thousands of us are living in buildings owned by A&E Realty. We deserve safe, stable homes –  not to see our homes passed from slumlord to slumlord who are just in it for the money. 

Douglas Eisenberg, the head of A&E, gets rich off neglecting our homes. He donated to Andrew Cuomo because he wanted a mayor who would raise our rents. He has thousands of open code violations and is one of the city’s top evictors. He gambled with our homes by taking out massive loans betting he could push us out.

Eisenberg made bad bets and lost and now his buildings are going through foreclosure. Because of decades of neglect, many are in bad shape. These homes can't be passed from slumlord to slumlord. 

If we unite and organize in the tens of thousands, we can decide what happens to our homes. We can win repairs, fair leases and rents, and even take over the buildings, putting them in tenant, community, or public ownership.

With a new mayor on our side, we can work with the city to fight back against A&E and any slumlord who wants to use our homes for profit.
